Committed Partners: People working seamlessly together.

Committed Partners

Target Groups: Individuals from all levels in the organization. (For intact teams and groups, the Journey to Great program is recommended).

Need: A common language and shared skills for building highly effective and collaborative relationships across functional boundaries.

What’s Missing: Employees, managers and leaders recognize the need for working together effectively. However, they do not have a common language or shared skills for building and sustaining relationships, handling breakdowns efficiently, and working through challenging situations together. In the absence of a common language and shared skills, people do their best but often fall short of what is needed and what is possible.

Session Description: Individuals rarely own work anymore. Virtually every business process in which you are involved requires working with others, both within your area and across functions. When everything is going smoothly your job is easy; when it’s not, your time, energy and enthusiasm seem to slip away. Constant demands, communication breakdowns, and rework result in frustration and resignation about whether working with people could ever be smooth.

But, stop and consider what is missing. You are committed to collaborating and working with others; what’s missing is a common purpose, shared skills and language for making things happen. Most people are just like you—they want to collaborate and partner, but they simply do know how to make it happen.

Committed Partners is based on the framework of 100% accountability—the choice to be responsible for your impact on people and results. During this program you will learn how to influence, enroll and engage people in working effectively together. You will also learn how to recover quickly from communication breakdowns and mistakes.
