Known worldwide as a top communication authority, Loretta is President and CEO of Malandro Communication Inc. She received her Ph.D. in Communication Theory and Research from Florida State University and completed her undergraduate degree at Kent State University.

She is the author of four landmark books. Her most recent book, published by McGraw-Hill, is entitled: Say it Right the First Time. This makes me worry—am I saying it right the first time? But if this doesn't make me nervous enough, her other books will. They are: Courtroom Communication Strategies, Nonverbal Communication, and Your Every Move Talks.

Loretta was a member of the first international debate team to tour Russia. Sponsored by the United States Government and National Communication Association, Loretta’s early experiences with “words” consisted of debating in the Russian language.
